So... some very nasty person that has me soooooooooooooooo ticked off right now tried to steal the Dakota.
Now... I don't know who would want to steal a rusted out, no exhaust, doors don't lock, pillows for broken seats, zip tied seat belt 200,000 mile 98 truck...
but someone did.
First they smashed the ignition with a screwdriver... when that wouldn't work they ripped the whole column apart and tried the wires... after that failed they ripped apart the whole interior to find nothing but my tow straps for wheeling.
My ears are burning from the anger still...
Anyone know of a way I can get this repaired cheaply? Obviously between the miles and mechanical problems it is not worth a huge investment.
It was nice to have just as an emergency back up for Blue, and a lot of sentimental value since it was my dad's and he gave it to me...
Eventually it will be retired to trail duty... but I would like to have a few more years of street life in it yet.
Til then it is parked on the street in front of my apartment... the next person who touches is gonna be reeeeeeeeeeeeeeal sorry.
