| I'm thinking I may link the rear suspension, I have to move the fuel tank to the back seat area anyway. hmmm _________________ Proud Member of Mid-Atlantic Rough Riders

| ummmm sure. plan is to get it running and then upgrade. I know a guy with a drag racing motor he is thinking about selling. problem is I would also need a th400 tranny, a new transfer case that fits chevy tranny and is drivers side drop and strong enough to stand up to 44 boggers and 800+hp. It will happen but first I have to move to a new garage and house. so work will resume in March....running out of time. _________________ Proud Member of Mid-Atlantic Rough Riders

| if you are going to take out a running engine for another, then maybee you will consider a nitrous shot on the one that is in there now _________________ it use to be a jeep thing. now its just a thing.stand back and watch things fly.

| So now the plan is to extend the frame through the body (it will be comp cut anyway) and go back about 4" past the tub, then fab a shorty rear bumper. This would leave enough room to move the rear shackle back the required 6" for the XJ springs. The XJ springs will get an add a leaf and will also have an extra main leaf without eyes on TOP of the leaf pack. it is supposed to help with axle wrap, we'll see. I will be fabricating an antiwrap bar but I'll build it different to the way it is usually done to fix the problem of the bar ripping off the axle. Spent some $ at the fab shop and bought some tubing and a plate for mounting the winch up front. got enough extra tubing to build a couple extra crossmembers and stiffen up the frame more. I hope to have that done this weekend. ALso have to replace a bad hub/bearing assembly in the Excursion, love those $500 suprises. _________________ Proud Member of Mid-Atlantic Rough Riders
