I'm looking for a rim for my spare Tahoe tire. The tire is 285/70/r17 so if I did my homework right that means I need a rim that is 7-9 inches wide and 17 inches tall with 6 lug bolt pattern. I don't care what shape it's in or color or anything like that. I just don't want to put out $100 if I don't have to. Let me know if any of you come across one in your travels. Thanks!

Would a stock rim work? if not what back spacing do you need? Keep a eye on craigslist.org

I didn't think stock rims were 17". I have no idea what the back spacing is - how do I find out?

yeah. I knew that. You can call Summit and order a black steel rim. It should cost you less than 60 bucks. I know that Ryan ordered 17x8 rims with 3 inch back spacing on a 8 lug pattern for 200 and change for all of them.

The lift on your Tahoe is Rancho. I would look on there web site or call them and see what they would use. If not you could take one of the rims off the truck and measure what your current back spacing is.

Thanks. I went to Rancho and it looks like the backspacing is 4.5". Thanks also for the Summit info. Looks like they are the cheapest there. I'll add it to my list of crap to buy.
